Privacy policy

This website promotes the podcast Inside Canadian Real Estate, hosted by Darren Cabral. It is operated by Cabral Real Estate Inc. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have under Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
- Episode alert sign-ups. If you subscribe, we collect your email address, your name if you choose to give it, and a record of your consent (the wording you agreed to, and the date and time).
- Messages. If you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
- Basic technical data. Our hosting provider may log standard request data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability.
How we use it
We use your email only to send you the podcast updates you asked for, such as new episode alerts, and to respond to you. We do not sell your personal information.
Consent and unsubscribing
We send email alerts only with your express consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the sign-up form. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe anytime. You can also write to darren@cabralrealestate.ca and we will remove you.
Email service provider
Subscriber details are stored with the email service provider we use to deliver alerts. That provider handles your information on our behalf and may store it on servers outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws of that country.
Embedded players and links
This site embeds players from Spotify and YouTube, and links to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube and other sites. When you load or play an embed, that company may set cookies and collect data under its own privacy policy. Embeds on the home page only load once you press play, except the newest episode player and the full-show player. The players on individual episode pages load as you scroll to them. This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies of its own.
How long we keep it
We keep subscriber information until you unsubscribe. We keep records of consent as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us at darren@cabralrealestate.ca.
